Periodically, I post something about what is going on in my life outside my writing. Well, this week my dad has come to visit. We are doing all the touristy things that I couldn’t do while pregnant with the doctor’s restrictions.

San Antonio, Texas is the 7th largest city in the USA, yet it retains the feel of rural Texas. People travel all over the world to visit the Alamo and the River Walk which are both worth the visit. The restaurants on the River Walk are fantastic and the hotels are top notch.
It gets extremely hot during the summer though, so I recommend coming in the late fall or winter. During the Christmas season, the River Walk has Christmas light up which is very nice.
In the course of our wanderings, we visited the Pearl Brewery which had a farmer’s market and a local bookstore. Those who have followed me a long time know that I LOVE farmer’s markets because you always find something unique.

I am also very excited about the discovery of The Twig. This local bookstore actively supports San Antonio writers and even the indie ones. Keep your eyes open. I suspect that this bookstore will make future appearances on my blog.
Check out my young adult fantasy fiction novels HERE for something optimistic and fun.
