One random day, my husband received a text friend, “Would you be interested in an opportunity…” We had not really traveled far in a long time. Not long after this text, our whole family were on an airplane to visit Jackson, Wyoming to see if we would like to move there for my husband’s Job opportunity.

Jackson is the largest town in the Jackson Hole Valley of the Grand Teton. The town is a wealthy ski resort town as well as a popular home base for those visiting the National parks, such a the Tetons and Yellowstone National Park, during the summer months. Many famous celebrities and wealthy families call this town. With the population being only 10,000 people (Elk might out-number residents, but I don’t know), the town has an incredible amount of culture, high-class shops, and restaurants for being so small.

Besides learning how to live in a mountain town with snow for 6 months out of the year, we visited a brand-new observatory and planetarium on top of a ski slope.

I had never really dreamed of living in the middle of the US, nor the Rocky Mountains, but I fell in love with the unspoiled beauty there. We saw moose every day we were there. We played in the snow.

So, in the end, my husband has accepted the job, and we will be moving there at the end of June. We look forward to our new season of wanderings!
